Why Self-Hosted?

What problem does the SHM solve?

In order to close this gap between web2 & web3, remove the technical barriers to entry, create trust with consumers, and create utility for existing projects, we're building a Self-Hosted NFT Marketplace that any individual or business can host on their own domain.

The Problems With The Traditional Approach

  1. For every popular NFT collection, there are 3-10 rip-offs. If someone new to NFTs is trying to buy the authentic collection, they might get scammed. Read this; more than $100M worth of NFTs were stolen. Scammers are benefiting from the anonymity of this ecosystem, but this doesn't need to be permanent.

  2. If a traditional business ventures into selling NFTs, its clients and customers may not trust Opensea or other popular NFT marketplaces. Although these marketplaces are well known amongst people who have been here a while, they're not amongst the general public.

  3. Lack of control over the conversion process. Sellers don't decide the way their customers view the collection and navigate through the checkout process.

  4. Sellers don't control what the leads see. Imagine if on a checkout page to buy a Nike tee-shirt, There was an Adidas tee-shirt ad. Definitely not the optimal way of conducting E-commerce & is the current norm.

  5. Every marketplace page is the same. Whether you're the projects with over $50m+in secondary sales or the project with $5 in secondary sales, your secondary market is identical. If you wanted to tinker and try out some new UX/UI ideas, you currently can not.

  6. Analytics and user data are not accessible.

The Solution is Simple

  1. It doesn't matter if people make scam collections when you have your own marketplace. If you only direct your buyers to your platform, they'll never be exposed to scam collections.

  2. If someone has been buying your products and services for years, they will already trust you. Trust is a huge indicator of conversion rates, and your customers already trust you.

  3. You can decide exactly what your customers see through the entire process. upsell, discounts, run promotions, and pretty much whatever else you'd like when it's on your own platform!

  4. Your competition is as far away from your marketing funnel and conversion process as they possibly can be.

  5. Brand, customize, and tinker as much as you'd like with the design of your marketplace page. We have a feeling you'll get a higher conversion rate.

  6. If it's on your own platform, you can install all the analytics tools you'd like. This data would be game-changing for creators.

How do You Compete With the "Big Guys"?

It's simple, we don't.

We are not taking on the massive task of converting people from the marketplaces they're used to. All we need to gain market share is to have NFT projects use our platform in addition to the traditional marketplaces they already use. We're building a creator-economy business model.

The vision has never been us VS them. The vision has always been to use our platform in conjunction with established marketplaces. We'll use Nike as another example since we mentioned them earlier. If you look on Amazon, you'll be able to find Nike products with ease. However, Nike also has their own online store on its own domain to sell all of its products.

But I Don't Know How to Code?

Our platform is free to use and requires zero programming experience. Using our self-serve software, anyone can host an NFT marketplace directly on a subdomain of their website by connecting it to our services, with no coding required. They can customize, change the appearance, and personalize the marketplace to fit their branding & preferences.

If you don't already have your own website, we'll still host your marketplace on ours & you'll get a custom subdomain.

How Much Does This Cost?

It will be completely free to host your own marketplace. Rogue Studios will not charge upfront or monthly fees to use our Self-Hosted Marketplaces. When projects choose to sell their NFTs using our Self-Hosted Marketplace, Rogue Studios will receive a small percentage of the secondary sale royalties. This is the same procedure marketplaces such as OpenSea and Magic Eden use to receive revenue from projects using their software and marketplace.

Royalty fees set at 1.75% (below industry standards) will be applied to every sale of NFTs on the custom marketplaces and 50% of those fees will be directed into the liquidity pool for YOMI NFT holders. Thus YOMI NFT holders earn 0.875% of every transaction that occurs using our software.
